Zusammenfassung

Alkohole sind chemisch Kohlenwasserstoffe, bei denen ein Wasserstoffatom durch die funktionelle Hydroxylgruppe (-OH) ersetzt ist. Für Menschen genießbar ist nur der Äthylalkohol. Er leitet sich vom Äthan ab, ist also eine 2-Kohlenstoff-Verbindung (Abb. 40.1).
