Zusammenfassung

Traumatische Erlebnisse, wie lebensbedrohliche Unfälle, Gewalt und Missbrauch, können zu einer posttraumatischen Belastungsstörung führen. Insbesondere bei Kindern und Jugendlichen aus Risikogruppen, die vermehrt potenziell traumatische Erfahrungen erleben, wie beispielsweise Geflüchtete, ist die posttraumatische Belastungsstörung (PTBS) sehr häufig. Die Behandlung der PTBS bei Kindern erfordert die Verarbeitung der Erlebnisse mit einer sogenannten trauma-fokussierten Therapie. Mit der narrativen Expositionstherapie und der traumafokussierten kognitiven Verhaltenstherapie liegen Therapiemethoden vor, deren Wirksamkeit in randomisiert kontrollierten Therapiestudien belegt werden konnte.
