21. Physiologie des mütterlichen Organismus und Erkrankungen in der Schwangerschaft

Zusammenfassung

Eine Schwangerschaft führt zu einer Reihe von physiologischen Adaptationsvorgängen in fast allen Organsystemen der Mutter, um das Kind optimal versorgen zu können und den mütterlichen Körper auf die Geburt vorzubereiten. Neben den Genitalorganen sind hier besonders das Herz-Kreislauf-System, Nieren- und Lungenfunktion sowie hämatologische, rheologische und endokrinologische Änderungen hervorzuheben. Diese Anpassungsvorgänge können im Sinne eines Stresstests bisher unerkannte Risikofaktoren oder Erkrankungen der Mutter evident werden lassen, die maternale Reaktion auf bestehende Erkrankungen verändern oder die Grundlage schwangerschaftsspezifischer Erkrankungsrisiken darstellen.
Von der normalen, physiologischen Adaptation müssen die pathologische Adaptation und die Reaktion auf bestehende mütterliche Krankheiten unterschieden werden. Nur bei Kenntnis der physiologischen Veränderungen kann eine Pathologie sicher erkannt und (wenn möglich) behandelt werden.
