Kardiorenales Syndrom bei geriatrischen Patienten

Zusammenfassung

Die ungünstige gegenseitige Beeinflussung der Nieren- und Herzfunktion bei akutem oder chronischem Nieren- und/oder Herzversagen definiert das kardiorenale Syndrom (KRS) seit einer Konsensuskonferenz 2004. Die pathophysiologischen Überlegungen und die sich daraus ergebenden Therapieansätze bedingen die Einteilung in 5 Typen. Eine hohe Prävalenz zeigt das Syndrom bei geriatrischen Patienten. Die Wechselwirkungen der Medikation auf das eine oder andere Organ erfordern beim KRS ein Zusammenspiel der Therapiemodalitäten, um die Prognose zu verbessern und akute Verschlechterungen zu verhindern. Die genaue Kenntnis der jeweiligen Indikationen, Differenzialtherapie und Spezifika im Umgang mit dem KRS kann die bisherige Unterbehandlung aus Sorge von Nebenwirkungen verbessern.
