9. Hochfrequenztherapie (HF)

Zusammenfassung

Therapie mit hochfrequenten Wechselströmen ist primär eine Anwendung, die in wasserreiches, ionenreiches und deshalb elektrisch gut leitendes Gewebe bis auf eine Tiefe von etwa 5 cm sehr effektiv Wärme erzeugt mit Folgen wie Durchblutungsverbesserung, Schmerzlinderung und verbesserter Dehnbarkeit. Wahrscheinlich haben die elektromagnetischen Wellen auch nicht-thermische Effekte, diese sind aber schwer nachzuweisen. Damit die erwähnten Effekte auftreten, muss eine bestimmte Gewebetemperatur erreicht werden. Anhand der spärlich vorhandenen Literatur ist es möglich, ungefähre Angaben zur Dosierung zu machen. Auf die mit der Anwendung verbundenen Risiken wird ausführlich eingegangen.
