Zusammenfassung

Übergewicht bewirkt eine Vergrößerung der Fettzellen. Aus dem besonders problematischen Bauchfettgewebe werden erleichtert Fettsäuren und die unterschiedlichsten Zelltypen, die speziell in diesem Fettanteil vorkommen, freigesetzt. Diese bilden ihrerseits Dutzende Hormone, Zytokine und entzündungsfördernde Botenstoffe mit jeweils weitreichenden systemischen Folgen.
