Zusammenfassung

Typische Entwicklungen des Stotterns bei längerem Fortbestehen werden skizziert. Der Erkenntnisstand zur Prognose und diese Prognose beeinflussende Faktoren werden dargestellt. Die Auswirkungen chronischen Stotterns im Lebenslauf werden im Hinblick auf schulische und berufliche Folgen sowie Einschränkungen der Lebensqualität betrachtet.
