25. Gesundheitsbezogene Resilienz

Zusammenfassung

Der Forschungsbereich der gesundheitsbezogenen Resilienz geht der Frage nach, warum es einigen Menschen gelingt, trotz erheblicher Stressoren im Leben ein hohes Maß an psychischer und körperlicher Gesundheit aufrechtzuerhalten oder aber sich schnell und erfolgreich von stressassoziierten gesundheitlichen Problemen zu erholen. Während Resilienz früher oft als stabiles Persönlichkeitsmerkmal aufgefasst wurde, verstehen wir unter Resilienz heute das Ergebnis eines dynamischen Anpassungsprozesses an einen oder mehrere Stressoren. Die gegenwärtige Forschung zielt darauf ab, ein übergreifendes konzeptuelles Rahmenmodell der gesundheitsbezogenen Resilienz zu entwickeln. Dabei sollen die zugrunde liegenden Mechanismen von Resilienz auf multiplen Ebenen (z. B. entwicklungsbezogen, neurobiologisch, physiologisch, psychosozial und umweltbedingt) identifiziert werden. Ein wichtiges Ziel besteht außerdem darin, gezielte Maßnahmen der Resilienzförderung zu konzipieren und hinsichtlich ihrer Wirksamkeit zu untersuchen.
