Zusammenfassung

Dieses Kapitel stellt die häufigsten motorischen Störungsbilder nach Schädigung des „Upper Motor Neuron“ UMN vor und erläutert hierauf basierend die therapeutischen Behandlungsansätze mittels der Funktionellen Elektrostimulation. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der neurorehabilitativen Therapie mit der EMG-getriggerten funktionellen Mehrkanal-Elektrostimulation (EMG-MES). Im Detail werden anhand praktischer Beispiele aus dem Therapiealltag die Parametereinstellungen differenziert und ausführlich beschrieben sowie anhand von Bild- und Videoquellen demonstriert.
Der interessierte Anwender bekommt somit ein fundiertes praktisches Wissen zur unmittelbaren Umsetzung in die therapeutische Routine am neurologischen Patienten.
