Zusammenfassung

Das subjektive Empfinden von Luftnot oder Atemanstrengung wird als Dyspnoe bezeichnet und zählt zu den häufigsten Symptomen überhaupt. Dieses Phänomen wird nicht nur durch eine spezifische somatische Ursache, sondern vielmehr durch eine Vielzahl von Kontextfaktoren beeinflusst. Daher sollte eine Untersuchung dieser Kontextfaktoren neben der klassischen strukturorientierten Therapie erfolgen. Hier zeigen sich erste Parallelen zum chronischen Schmerzgedächtnis. Im folgenden Abschnitt soll daher der multidimensionale therapeutische Ansatz anhand aktueller Leitlinien und Statements verschiedener Gesellschaften dargestellt werden. Gezielte therapeutische Intervention sollen die Selbstwirksamkeitserwartung, Lebensqualität und körperlicher Aktivität Betroffener steigern.
