Ätiologie

Die akute Pankreatitis ist eine initial nicht bakteriell bedingte, plötzlich einsetzende entzündliche Erkrankung mit großer Dynamik. Im mitteleuropäischen Raum wird sie am häufigsten durch eine Obstruktion des Sphinkter Oddi durch einen Gallenstein verursacht, mit absteigender Frequenz durch Alkoholexzesse, Hyperlipidämien und Interventionen im Rahmen einer endoskopisch retrograden Cholangio-Pankreatikografie (ERCP). Auch familiäre und idiopathische akute Pankreatitiden kommen vor. In seltenen Fällen wird die Erkrankung durch Medikamente, Hyperkalzäme oder Hypoxie hervorgerufen.
