Der Begriff Telemedizin steht für das Erbringen einer medizinischen Leistung über einen räumlichen oder zeitlichen Versatz. Die Telemedizin ist ein Teilbereich der E-Health und erbringt medizinische Leistungen mithilfe von Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien. Mittlerweile existieren viele telemedizinische Ansätze, um die medizinische Versorgung und die Behandlungsqualität auch in der Palliative Care zu verbessern.
