Gerontopsychiatrische Konsiliar- und Liaisondienste vor dem Durchbruch?

Abstract

In comparison with other countries Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry in Germany is still underdeveloped. This is caused partly by a lack of experience and partly by marginally existing financial possibilities, especially concerning Liaison Psychiatric increments and multi-professional concepts. Within the framework of the new health reform, which started in April 2007, there are new options for institutions that consider establishing such a professional service. Concurrently experience from model projects could facilitate the implementation of new structures in hospitals. This is particularly related to the specified model project “Gerontopsychiatric Consultation-Liaison Service” in Kaufbeuren, Germany, which is explicitly referred to in the explanatory statement for the new law.

Zusammenfassung

Die Konsiliar- und Liaisonpsychiatrie in Deutschland ist im Vergleich zu anderen Ländern noch unterentwickelt. Die Gründe liegen zum einen an mangelnden Erfahrungswerten. Zum anderen gab es vor allem für liaisonpsychiatrische Erweiterungen oder für multiprofessionelle Konzepte bislang kaum Finanzierungsmöglichkeiten. Im Rahmen der Gesundheitsreform, die im April 2007 in Kraft tritt, ergeben sich nun neue Optionen für Träger, die solche Fachdienste aufbauen möchten. Gleichzeitig liegen Erfahrungen aus Modellprojekten vor, die eine Implementation neuer Strukturen im Krankenhaus erleichtern können. Dies betrifft vor allem das beschriebene Modellprojekt „Gerontopsychiatrischer Konsiliar- und Liaisondienst“ in Kaufbeuren, das in der Begründung zum Gesetzestext ausdrücklich genannt wird.
