Zusammenfassung

In der 7. Auflage der TNM-Klassifikation maligner Tumoren blieben die meisten Tumoren gegenüber der 6. Auflage unverändert. Für einige Tumorentitäten wurden Klassifikationen neu eingeführt, andere modifiziert, die meisten unverändert belassen. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, die Neuerungen und Veränderungen, die ab 01.01.10 verwendet werden sollen, kurz darzustellen. Auch einige allgemeine Regeln der TNM-Klassifikation sind geändert worden. Um die Pathologen von der Verwendung von „MX“ und „pMX“ abzuhalten, wurden diese zwei Kategorien aus der neuen Klassifikation entfernt. Der fakultative zu verwendende Parameter „Pn“ (perineurale Invasion) wurde neu eingeführt. Zu den Tumorentitäten, für die neue Klassifikationen vorliegen, gehören: maligne Melanome des oberen Aerodigestivtrakts, Tumoren des ösophagogastralen Übergangs, gastrointestinale Stromatumoren (GIST), neuroendokrine Tumoren der Lungen und des Verdauungstrakts, Appendixkarzinome, intrahepatische Cholangiokarzinome (ICC), extrahepatische Gallengangskarzinome, Merkel-Zell-Karzinome, Uterussarkome und Nebennierenrindenkarzinome. Bei der Tumoren der Speiseröhre, des Magens, der Lunge, der Haut, der Vulva und der Prostata wurden größere Modifikationen vorgenommen.

Abstract

The 7th edition of the TNM classification of malignant tumours (TNM-7) contains a number of new and modified classifications. The purpose of this communication is to briefly summarize these changes which will become effective from January 2010. In addition there are several general rules that have been modified or established. In order to deter pathologists from using the terms MX or pMX, these designations have been deleted from TNM-7. The optional descriptor “Pn – perineural invasion” has been newly introduced. Among the new classifications for tumor entities are: melanoma of upper aerodigestive tract, gastroesophageal carcinoma, gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GIST), neuroendocrine tumours of the lung and gastrointestinal tract, appendix carcinoma, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, extrahepatic bile duct carcinoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, uterine sarcoma and adrenal cortex carcinoma. Among the classifications with major amendments are carcinomas of the esophagus, stomach, lung, skin, vulva, and prostate.
