Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund

Die Internationale Klassifikation der Funktionsfähigkeit, Behinderung und Gesundheit (ICF) bietet eine Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Möglichkeiten zur Nutzung in der Praxis.

Ziel der Arbeit (Fragestellung)

Das Ziel der Arbeit ist die ausschnitthafte Darstellung der wichtigsten Möglichkeiten zur Nutzung der ICF und der dafür herangezogenen theoretischen Ansätze.

Material und Methoden

Zur Beantwortung der Fragestellung wurde nationale und internationale Literatur aus einer Literaturrecherche in verschiedenen Datenbanken (PubMed, Rehadat, Scholar.Google) herangezogen.

Ergebnisse

Es liegen für alle Bereiche der ICF und viele der von der ICF intendierten Nutzungsmöglichkeiten und Kontexte konkrete Entwicklungen und Beispiele oder Hinweise für deren Implementation in die Praxis vor. Das biopsychosoziale Modell und die aus der Klassifikation der ICF generierbare einheitliche Sprache finden eine breite Akzeptanz und Anwendung in der Praxis. Auf der Kapitelebene finden sich nur wenige Entwicklungen und Beispiele für eine praktische Nutzung der ICF.

Bei der Nutzung der ICF anhand von Items sind hingegen vielfältige Entwicklungen unterschiedlicher theoretischer und methodischer Güte vorfindlich.

Diskussion

Die Vielzahl der unterschiedlichen Nutzungsansätze der ICF für die Praxis verdeutlicht das große Bemühen um die Implementation der ICF in die Praxis sowie ihr breites potenzielles Nutzungsspektrum. Hier wird aber auch deutlich, dass noch keine übergreifende Lösung zur Zufriedenheit der betroffenen Akteure gefunden wurde. Forschungsbedarf besteht hinsichtlich der theoretischen Fundierung der ICF, der Erfassung der gegenwärtigen Praxis der Nutzung der ICF und in der Erstellung konkreter Hinweise für die Möglichkeiten zur Nutzung der ICF in der Praxis.

Abstract

Background

The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) can be used in practice in a variety of ways.

Objectives

The aim of this work is to illustrate some of the most important ways of using the ICF and some aspects of their theoretical concepts.

Materials and methods

Database searches (PubMed, Rehadat, and Google Scholar) were conducted for studies concerning the use of the ICF in practice.

Results

For all aspects of the ICF, and many of the intended ways of using it, there are concrete developments and examples or indications for their implementation into practice in different contexts. In particular, the common language and the bio-psycho-social model is widely accepted and applied in practice. At the level of chapters, there are a few developments and examples of practical applications of the ICF.

When using the ICF based on Items, however, diverse developments of different theoretical and methodological quality are available.

Conclusion

The multitude of different adaptations of the ICF for practice illustrates the great effort to the implementation in practice. However, this also shows that no comprehensive solution to the satisfaction of concerned protagonists was found. Research is needed on the theoretical foundations of the ICF, capturing the current practice of using the ICF and in the creation of specific instructions for ways to use the ICF in practice.

  1. Teilweise überschneiden sich hier die Bereiche mit der Nutzung von Items. Dies ist insbesondere im Abschnitt zur Nutzung der ICF auf nationaler/internationaler Ebene (Makroebene) der Fall.

  2. Funktionale Gesundheit ist kein Begriff der ICF, er wurde im Rahmen der Schulungen zur deutschen Übersetzung der ICF eingeführt. Dennoch wird er in der Literatur als zur ICF zugehörig verwendet.

  3. Die Autoren beschreiben hier ein „Domain-Set“, welches sprachlich zunächst an die Domänen der ICF erinnert. Da in diesem Domain-Set letztlich aber nur Items der zweiten Ebene (z. B. b280 Schmerz) enthalten sind, ist die sprachliche Darstellung hier irreführend.
