Zusammenfassung

Der demographische Wandel gilt als eine der größten Herausforderungen spätmoderner Gesellschaften (Drucker 2002; Kohlbacher & Herstatt 2011). Die zunehmende Zahl älterer Menschen gilt einerseits als Risiko für etwaige Sicherungssysteme, Firmen, Institutionen und die Wirtschaft im Allgemeinen sowie andererseits als neue Chance in verschiedener Hinsicht. Als Risiken werden die abnehmende Zahl der Erwerbsfähigen, ein allgemeiner Wissensverlust, eine sinkende Kaufkraft sowie hohe Kosten der medizinischen und pflegerischen Versorgung genannt.
