Zusammenfassung
Ein System wird als ›soziotechnisch‹ bezeichnet, um die Beziehungen und Wechselwirkungen zwischen sozialen und technischen Systemen hervorzuheben und zu untersuchen (Emery/Trist 1969). Dabei werden soziale und technische Systeme zu Teilsystemen des soziotechnischen Systems (STS). Die Untersuchung geschieht bezüglich Fragen nach (1) der Integration einer bestimmten Technik/Technologie in gesellschaftliche Subsysteme (z. B. Berufs- oder Altersgruppen), (2) der Mensch-Maschine-Interaktion und ihrer Modellierung (der Mensch als z. B. Anwender, Nutzer oder Konsument der Technik), und (3) der Organisationsentwicklung (zum letzten Punkt vgl. Sydow 1985).
