Zusammenfassung
Unter Verwirrtheitszuständen und Delirien, die nicht durch Alkohol oder psychotrope Substanzen ausgelöst werden, versteht man in Anlehnung an die ICD-10 F05 ätiologisch unspezifische hirnorganische Syndrome, die durch die folgende, gleichzeitig bestehende Symptomatik gekennzeichnet sind:

Störung der Aufmerksamkeit und des Bewusstseins
-
globales kognitives Defizit
-
Störungen der Psychomotorik, dementsprechend sowohl hyperaktive als auch hypoaktive klinische Erscheinungsbilder
-
Störungen des Schlaf-Wach-Rhythmus
-
emotionale (affektive) Störungen.
