Zusammenfassung

Um sich ein Urteil über die Stimmleistung eines Sängers zu bilden, muß man systematisch die Respirationsbewegungen während des Singens beobachten, um sie mit der Stimmqualität in Beziehung zu bringen. Es wird von den Laryngologen leicht übersehen wie häufig mangelhafte Atmung an einer Stimmstörung schuld ist. Im Gegensatz dazu wenden die meisten Gesangspädagogen der Atemführung ihre besondere Aufmerksamkeit zu, da sie ihre große Bedeutung nicht verkennen. Auch J. Tarneaud, der als früherer Laryngologe des Musik-Konservatoriums in Paris ausgedehnte Erfahrungen sammeln konnte, hat erneut bestätigt, daß nur wenige Sänger während des Singens richtig zu atmen verstehen. Gesangsschüler, die nach zwei-bis dreijährigem Gesangsstudium eine wirklich gute Atemführung zeigen, sollen kaum 25% übersteigen. Sogar bei berühmten Sängern beobachtete er auffallende Fehler der Atemführung.
