Zusammenfassung

Die adäquate Versorgung eines wachen tracheostomierten Patienten umfasst den fachlich angeleiteten Kanülenwechsel, sowie die Anleitung des Patienten und seiner Angehörigen. Die beste Grundlage für die qualifizierte Tracheostomaversorgung beim wachen Patienten bietet die validierte «Standardized Operating Procedure zur Tracheostomaversorgung», wie sie im Jahr 2014 für den Wiener Krankenanstaltsverbund (KAV) entwickelt und 2017 adaptiert wurde. In diesem Kapitel wird die schrittweise Durchführung des Trachealkanülenwechsels demonstriert und nachvollziehbar gemacht. Sie soll exemplarisch für den nichtintensivpflichtigen klinischen Bereich gelten.
