Zusammenfassung
Der Glyceroltest dient der Unterscheidung einer ausschließlich degenerativen Hörstörung von einer hydro pischen Schädigung. Eine zusätzliche audiometrische Aus stattung wird zur Durchführung dieser Untersuchung nicht benötigt. Der Test erlaubt es, einen Endolymphhydrops nahe zu sicher nachzuweisen. Allerdings ist ein positives Ergebnis nicht beweisend für das Vorliegen eines Morbus Menière, da das Vorliegen eines Endolymphhydrops nicht zwangsläufig zur Menière-Symptomatik führt. Im Folgenden wird der Einsatz des Glyceroltests bei Patienten mit Menièreschem Symptomkomplex systematisch abgehandelt und mit eigenen Erfahrungen ergänzt.
