Zusammenfassung

In den letzten Jahrzehnten haben sich europäische Arbeitsmärkte erheblich gewandelt — und damit auch die Dynamik von Integration und Exklusion und die Strukturen der sozialen Ungleichheit, die sie produzieren. Diese Entwicklung nahm allerdings in verschiedenen Gesellschaften einen unterschiedlichen Verlauf (Lane 1989, Häußermann/Siebel 1996, Schmid 1996). Der Beitrag befasst sich mit der Frage, wie Gemeinsamkeiten und Differenzen in der Entwicklung erklärt werden können und welcher theoretische Rahmen sich für die Analyse eignet.
