Zusammenfassung
Kompressionen (einschließlich nicht unmittelbar traumatischer Läsionen) des N. peroneus profundus in Höhe des Kniegelenks sind die häufigsten umschriebenen Neuropathien der unteren Extremitäten. Ursächlich hierfür sind die exponierte Lage am Fibulaköpfchen mit besonderer Neigung zu Druckläsionen, aber auch anatomische Engstellen und weitere Besonderheiten. Ein typisches Beispiel sind Ganglien, die vom Tibiofibulargelenk ausgehen und extra- oder intraneurale Läsionen verursachen können. Für Letztere sind Neurosonografie und Kernspintomografie eine wichtige Zusatzdiagnostik. Wesentlich seltener sind Kompressionen des N. peroneus superficialis am Unterschenkel und des distalen N. peroneus profundus am Fußrücken. Letztere ist als sogenanntes vorderes Tarsaltunnelsyndrom bekannt.
