Zusammenfassung
Die wichtigen Aspekte der präoperativen Evaluation, wie Anamneseerhebung, körperliche Untersuchung und Aufklärung des Patienten, werden in diesem Kapitel beschrieben. Zudem wird auf die individuelle präoperative Dauermedikation des Patienten sowie die medikamentöse Prämedikation eingegangen. Einen wichtigen Aspekt stellen spezielle Situationen und Vorerkrankungen, wie z. B. erhöhtes Aspirationsrisiko oder Diabetes mellitus, dar. Des Weiteren wird auf das Narkoserisiko eingegangen, da auch dies einen für den Patienten wichtigen Aspekt des Prämedikationsgesprächs darstellt.
