Zusammenfassung
Kinder und Jugendliche sind heute attraktiven Essensangeboten und Verzehranreizen ausgesetzt. Welche Faktoren der Ernährung die Entwicklung einer Adipositas begünstigen, ist dabei nur schwer nachzuweisen, denn Ernährung ist komplex. Selbstangaben sind meist nicht valide. Biologisch und hedonisch plausibel ist ein positiver Zusammenhang zwischen der Energiedichte der Nahrung. Dementsprechend ist ein hoher Verzehr zuckerhaltiger Getränke mit dem Adipositasrisiko bei Kindern und Jugendlichen assoziiert. Auch lassen sich risikomindernde und risikoerhöhende Verzehrmuster identifizieren. Präventive Empfehlungen, allerdings meist nur auf der Stufe von Expertenmeinungen, sprechen für eine Optimierte Mischkost mit reichlich pflanzlichen Lebensmitteln und Wasser als Regelgetränk in Prävention und Therapie der Adipositas bei Kindern und Jugendlichen.
