Zusammenfassung
Frau Dr. Hanan war heute zum Zwischendienst auf der Intensivstation eingeteilt. „Mensch! Ich dachte, du bist noch im Urlaub!“ Frau Dr. Julia strahlte, als ihre Kollegin das Arztzimmer betrat. „Ich fühle mich auch noch so! Er war so schön und viel zu kurz!“ Die beiden Kolleginnen umarmten sich. „Ich freue mich trotzdem, dass du wieder da bist! Hat es denn geklappt?“ Frau Dr. Hanan lächelte. „Vielleicht, aber das erzähl ich dir lieber bei einem Glas Wasser. Habe ich denn irgendwas verpasst?“ „Eigentlich nicht“. Wir haben weiterhin mehr Anfragen als Betten und verlegen oft genug Patienten mit einem schlechten Gewissen auf Normalstation. Manche Tage sind wie eine Triage am Unfallort. – In diesem Kapitel geht es um die Glasgow Outcome Scale Extended (GOSE), Schluckstörungen, Epistaxis, Komplikationen eines Tracheostomas, Thrombose bei ZVK sowie die Empathiefalle.
