Zusammenfassung
Die Beurteilung, wann und unter welchen Voraussetzungen das Dekanülement erfolgen soll, obliegt den ärztlichen Fachdisziplinen in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Therapeuten und Pflegekräften. Das für ein Dekanülement bedeutsame Kapitel umfasst die Beantwortung der Fragen unter welchen Voraussetzungen, wann, wo und wie das Dekanülement zu erfolgen hat und welche diagnostischen Schritte damit verbunden sind. Dabei wird ausführlich eingegangen auf die Erfassung gestörter Funktionalität und ihrer Therapiemaßnahmen sowie auf das Stufenprogramm zum Weaning. Ausführliche Beachtung finden mögliche pathologische Veränderungen der Atemwege, das Sekretmanagement, die Beurteilung der Schluckfunktion sowie diagnostische und therapeutische Möglichkeiten bei Dyphagien verschiedener Ursachen. Klare Entscheidungskriterien zur Planung des Dekanülements werden vermittelt. Praxisorientiert wird das Dekanülement mit allen Folgemaßnahmen beschrieben und durch übersichtliche Darstellungen und Abbildungen verständlich gemacht. Auf kanülenassoziierte Risiken, Fragen der Lebensqualität und der Betreuung tracheotomierter Patienten wird ausführlich eingegangen.
