Zusammenfassung
Für alle Kontrastmittel (KM) gelten in Abhängigkeit von Untersuchungstechnik und -region unterschiedliche Injektionsparameter. Jodhaltige KM sind röntgenpositiv und lassen sich in wasserlösliche und ölige KM, sowie Kontrastmittelsuspensionen einteilen. In Abhängigkeit von der chemischen Verbindung werden die wasserlöslichen KM in ionische und nichtionische unterschieden. Für MRT-Untersuchungen kommen gadoliniumhaltige KM zum Einsatz. Kohlenstoffdioxid ist ein röntgennegatives KM, dessen Vorteil in der Anwendungsmöglichkeit bei Kontraindikationen gegen jodhaltige KM, wie Niereninsuffizienz, Hyperthyreose oder schweren Kontrastmittelunverträglichkeiten besteht. Ultraschall-KM steigern die Echogenität des Blutes und verbessern damit das Signal-zu-Rausch-Verhältnis.
