Zusammenfassung

Der Nutzen von körperlicher Aktivität in der Prävention und Therapie zahlreicher chronischer Erkrankungen ist heutzutage unbestritten. Umgekehrt fördert der eher inaktive, sitzende Lebensstil die Entstehung eben jener Entitäten. In diesem Kapitel werden die für die Gesunderhaltung notwendigen Bewegungsumfänge/-intensitäten in Alltag und Freizeit bzw. die Grenzen für Inaktivität für Kinder und Erwachsene auf Basis der aktuellen nationalen und internationalen Empfehlungen zusammengestellt.
