Zusammenfassung
In einer (sehr) kurzen Geschichte der Information werden Einzelaspekte dazu beleuchtet. Es wird auch gezeigt, welch lange Geschichte der maschinellen Informationsverarbeitung bereits vor der Erfindung heutiger Computer lag. Als bedeutendster Pionier der theoretischen und praktischen Informatik gilt Alan Turing, der im Zweiten Weltkrieg an der Entschlüsselung der deutschen Chiffriermaschine Enigma arbeitete.
