Zusammenfassung

Thoraxschmerz, Fieber und Dyspnoe sind häufige Symptome bei Erkrankungen im Thorax. Kombination und Intensität der Symptome lassen Rückschlüsse auf die beteiligten Strukturen und die Schwere des Krankheitsbildes zu. Bei plötzlichen Thoraxschmerzen zeigt die Sonographie typische Befunde beim Spannungspneumothorax, bei der Lungenembolie und bei der akuten Aortendissektion. Fieber ist ein Symptom bei entzündlichen Erkrankungen der Thoraxwand, der Pleura und der Lunge. Die Sonographie ist eine sichere Methode zur gezielten diagnostischen Entnahme von Flüssigkeit und Gewebe. Besonders wertvoll sind die sonographischen Verlaufskontrollen von Pleura- und Perikardergüssen unter Therapie. Bei Dyspnoe kann mit der Sonographie eine Differenzierung zwischen kardialer und pulmonaler Ursache getroffen werden. Mit der dynamischen Untersuchung können Funktionsstörungen des Zwerchfells beurteilt werden.
