Zusammenfassung
Störungen der gastrointestinalen Motilität sind direkt oder indirekt mit verschiedenen Krankheitsbildern assoziiert. Wesentliche Fortschritte in den zur Verfügung stehenden Methoden erlauben es heute, die Motilität des Magen-Darm-Traktes unter beinahe physiologischen Bedingungen zu untersuchen. In diesem Kapitel werden wir auf die Prinzipien sowie Anwendungsbereiche dieser Untersuchungsverfahren eingehen und neue Entwicklungen skizzieren. Neben den eigentlichen Motilitätsmessmethoden wie Manometrie, Barostat und Elektrogastrographie wird die Langzeit-pH-Metrie vorgestellt.
