Die Gleichgewichtssinnesorgane des Menschen befinden sich im Innenohr. Sie erlauben dem Menschen den aufrechten Gang, indem sie Dreh-, (Winkel-) und Translationsbeschleunigungen messen. Störungen des Gleichgewichtssystems führen zu einem der häufigsten Leitsymptome -dem Schwindel.
