Zusammenfassung

Die Nützlichkeit der Messung der Patientenzufriedenheit steht mittlerweile außer Frage. Allerdings besteht die Herausforderung, sämtliche Einflussfaktoren der Patientenzufriedenheit zu identifizieren. Ziel des vorliegenden Beitrags ist es deshalb, die Patient-Patient-Ähnlichkeit auf Basis eines Literaturrückblicks als bisher unbeachteten Einflussfaktor der Patientenzufriedenheit darzustellen. Wesentliche Erkenntnis ist dabei, dass die wahrgenommene Ähnlichkeit zum Bettnachbarn, während eines Krankenhausaufenthalts, ein zentraler Faktor zur Entstehung gegenseitiger Attraktion ist. Darauf aufbauend wird empirisch auf der Basis einer Methodentriangulation der Frage nachgegangen, welche Eigenschaften von einem idealen Bettnachbarn erwartet werden. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass neben Verhaltensmerkmalen die Persönlichkeit eines Bettnachbarn das entscheidende Kriterium für die Entstehung von Attraktion ist.
