Zusammenfassung

Brüche des Schulterblattknochens sind selten und meist die Folge einer erheblichen, direkten Gewalteinwirkung gegen Schulter und Thorax. Die schweren Formen dieser Verletzung werden daher meist im Rahmen eines Polytraumas beobachtet. Da das Schulterblatt mit Ausnahme der Gelenkausläufer durch Muskeln gut „geschient” ist, finden sich selten gröbere Fragmentverschiebungen, weshalb die Behandlung in der Regel konservativ ist.
