Zusammenfassung
Frühkindliche Hirnschädigungen als Folge von Komplikationen während Schwan-gerschaft und Geburt wurden aus der Sicht retrospektiver Erhebungen als der ent-scheidende ursächliche Faktor für spätere Entwicklungsstörungen und Behinde-rungen angesehen. So kamen z.B. Pasamanick u. Knobloch (1966) bei der Aus-wertung mehrerer retrospektiver Studien zu dem Ergebnis, daß Zahl und Schwere prä- und perinataler Risiken mit dem Ausmaß späterer Beeinträchtigung positiv korreliert waren, und daß hieraus die Annahme eines kausalen Zusammenhangs abgeleitet werden könne.
