Zusammenfassung

Ende der 50er Jahre wurde Carbamazepin als Antikonvulsivum entwickelt. Früh fiel die psychoaktive Potenz des Stoffes auf, die auf die Strukturver-wandtheit mit Chlorpromazin und einigen trizyklischen Antidepressiva zurückgeführt wird. Die chemische Bezeichnung des Carbamazepins ist 5H-Di-benz(b,f)azepin-5-carboxamid.
