Zusammenfassung

Seit der Einführung von Chlordiazepoxid 1960 und von Diazepam 1963 sind mittlerweile mehr als 30 Substanzen auf dem Markt verfügbar. Sie werden nach verschiedenen Kriterien in Gruppen unterteilt. Am ehesten bewährt sich in der Klinik die Einteilung nach der Eliminationshalbwertszeit (im folgenden HWZ) bzw. der Wirkdauer.
