Zusammenfassung

Der akute, thrombotische Verschluß der tiefen (subfascial gelegenen) Beinvenen und/oder Beckenvenen führt zu einem Krankheitsbild, das nicht nur die Extremität bedroht (akut: evtl. venöse Gangrän; langfristig: postthrombotisches Syndrom), sondern darüber hinaus auch das Leben des Patienten durch Embolisation in den Pulmonalkreislauf ernsthaft gefährden kann. Da zufriedenstellende Ergebnisse in der Behandlung der tiefen Thrombose (TVT) in Übereinstimmung mit der Literatur (u. a. Baumann 1976; Brunner 1974; Denck 1977; Gall U. Husfeldt 1977; HäRing U. Stallkamp 1976; Lüdtke-Handjery et al. 1981; Senn U. Althaus 1973) nur durch eine frühzeitige, chirurgische (unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen auch fibrinolytische) Therapie zu erzielen sind, müssen die betreffenden Patienten notfallmäßig versorgt werden. Dies um so mehr, als ohnehin schon nur die Hälfte bis zwei Drittel der TVT klinisch faßbar sind (Bollinger 1979).
