Zusammenfassung

Im Krankenhaus-Report ’97 findet sich unter der Zwischenüberschrift „Interessenswahrung oder Aufbruch zu neuen Ufern?“ folgender Absatz (Buck 1997, S. 99-112): „Alter, Multimorbidität und sich auflösende Familienstrukturen sind die soziodemographischen Faktoren unseres Gesundheitswesens, die immer mehr institutionalisierte Versorgung erfordern. Die Begriffe medizinische Notwendigkeit’ und,Indikation’ müssen neu definiert werden, da die Veränderungen von Behandlungsmethoden im Rahmen des medizinischtechnischen Fortschritts die Grenzen zwischen ambulanter und stationärer Versorgung, aber auch zwischen Pflege, Akutversorgung und Rehabilitation immer mehr verschieben. Hier werden auch die Probleme von Definitionen und Zuständigkeiten aus ärztlicher und pflegerischer Sicht, aus Sicht der Krankenkassen und aus Sicht der ministeriellen Krankenhausplanung offenbar“.
