Zusammenfassung
Das Os acromiale entsteht während des Wachstums durch einen fehlenden Verschluss einer oder mehrerer Apophysenfugen des Akromions. Vier Ossifikationszentren bilden das Akromion: das Präakromion, das Mesoakromion, das Metakromion und das Basisakromion (Abb. 11.1; [6]). Da sich die Akromion-Apophysenfugen spätestens etwa im Alter von 25 Jahren verschließen [8], spricht man erst bei Patienten mit einem Alter von über 25 Jahren von einem Os acromiale. Die Inzidenz des Os acromiale wird unterschiedlich zwischen 2% und 8% angegeben [2, 6]. In 36-62% kommt es beidseitig vor [3, 6]. Am häufigsten ist der Übergang zwischen Mesound Metakromion betroffen.
