Zusammenfassung
Der erste funktionsfähige Laser wurde 1960 von T.H.Maiman erbaut. Scitdem findet sich die Lasertechnologie in ständiger Weiterentwicklung bei konsekutiver Ausweitung der medizinischen Indikationen. Die verschiedenen Anwendungsgebiete in der Plastischen und Ästhetischen Chirurgie werden im Folgenden dargestellt, Komplikationen, Möglichkeiten und Grenzen aufgezeigt.
