Zusammenfassung

Die Funktionsweise der apparativen Enuresistherapie (AVT), theoretische Grundlagen, methodische Veränderungen und Ergänzungen des Verfahrens sowie die Entwicklung der apparativen Anordnung seit Mowrer u. Mowrer (1938) werden ebenso beschrieben wie die technisch-therapeutische Durchführung der Therapie, Behandlungskomplikationen und Vorbehalte gegen die AVT. Indikationen, Kontraindikationen und Nebenwirkungen werden dargestellt und praktische therapeutische Fragen erörtert. Zum Schluss werden Erfolgskriterien und der Grad der empirischen Absicherung diskutiert, und es wird eine persönliche Bewertung abgegeben.
