Zusammenfassung

Im höheren Lebensalter ist die Auseinandersetzung mit Tod und Sterben ein nicht zu vermeidendes Thema. Ebenso kann die Verarbeitung traumatischer Erlebnisse – seien sie kürzlich erlebt oder länger zurückliegend – wichtig werden. Dieses Kapitel beschreibt 3 Störungsbilder, die mit der Verarbeitung von Traumata, Trauer und Belastungen verbunden sein können:

  • die posttraumatische Belastungsstörung (PTB),

  • die anhaltende Trauer(störung) und

  • die Anpassungsstörung.
