Zusammenfassung

Iatrogen bedeutet wörtlich „vom Arzt herrührend“. Unter iatrogenen Störungen sind im weitestens Sinn jedoch sämtliche die Gesundheit beeinträchtigenden Einwirkungen und Folgen durch medizinische Maßnahmen (Diagnostik, Therapie und Pflege) zu verstehen. Sinngemäß fallen hierunter auch nachteilige Konsequenzen aufgrund nicht durchgeführter diagnostischer, präventiver und therapeutischer Maßnahmen.
