Zusammenfassung

Unfallfolgen sind eine der häufigsten Todesursachen bei über 75jährigen Personen. Bei der Mehrzahl dieser Unfälle handelt es sich um Stürze, die im höheren Alter deutlich zunehmen. Von zu Hause lebenden Betagten stürzt 1/3 mindestens einmal im Jahr. Heimbewohner stürzen etwa doppelt so häufig.
