Zusammenfassung

Am Thorax trifft der Ultraschall auf zwei natürliche Feinde der sonographischen Bildgebung:

  • Luft in ventilierten, gesunden Lungen reflektiert den Schall fast vollständig, so daß in der Lunge kein Normalbefund zu erheben ist.

  • Der knöcherne Thorax führt zu einer kompletten Schallauslöschung. Dieser und direkt darunterliegende Strukturen sind im Normalfall sonographisch nicht einsehbar.
