Perioperative Antibiotikaprophylaxe

Zusammenfassung

Eine perioperative Antibiotikaprophylaxe wird bezogen auf einen invasiven Eingriff eingesetzt, um durch meist einmalige Gabe eines meist bakterizid wirksamen Wirkstoff postoperativen Infektionen vorzubeugen. Die Indikation wird beeinflusst durch die Art des Eingriffs sowie patientenbezogene (z. B. Gesundheitszustand) und operationstechnische Risikofaktoren (z. B. Dauer des Eingriffs, versehentliche Darmeröffnung). Die Gabe erfolgt intravenös (möglichst 30–60 min vor dem Eingriff) oder bei transurethralen Eingriffen auch oral (möglichst 60–90 min vor dem Eingriff. Die perioperative Antibiotikaprophylaxe kann grundsätzlich weder eine geeignete Antisepsis noch mangelhafte Operationstechniken ausgleichen.
