Zusammenfassung
Das Akronym RIFLE steht für Risk (Risiko) – Injury (Schädigung) – Failure (Nierenversagen) – Loss (Verlust der Nierenfunktion) und ESRD („end-stage renal disease”, terminales Nierenversagen). In 2007 wurde der Begriff akutes Nierenversagen (ANV = „acute renal failure”, ARF) durch den Begriff akute Nierenschädigung („acute kidney injury”, AKI) ersetzt (AKIN = Acute Kidney Injury Network, http://www.akinet.org).
