Zusammenfassung

Fällt die Entscheidung zur HD, so macht speziell die Anlage eines Gefäßzugangs aufgrund von arteriellen Verkalkungen Probleme. Rechtzeitige Planung und Anlage eines Shunts sind in dieser Situation besonders wichtig. Eine desolate Gefäßsituation kann ein Argument zur Entscheidung für die PD sein, die insgesamt aber auch bei Diabetikern unterrepräsentiert ist.
